Retire a legend. Receive $CLG.
Burn one Legends Awaken NFT and receive $35 of $CLG from an ownerless contract, in the same transaction. Trinari: Elderborn follows with $15 once its mint has sold out.

One transaction. Nothing to approve.
- Connect your Cronos walletThe page reads which Legends Awaken NFTs you hold. Nothing is signed.
- Choose an NFT and reviewYou see the exact CLG amount, the minimum you'll accept, and both contract addresses.
- Confirm once in your walletYour wallet shows your NFT moving to the claim contract. In that same transaction the contract sends it to 0x…dEaD and pays you the $CLG.
Five things to check
- It's permanent. A burned NFT goes to 0x…dEaD, where nobody can ever move it again.
- Only this page's Burn button pays. Sending an NFT to 0x…dEaD yourself, using another burn tool, a plain transfer or the collection's batch transfer moves it with no payment, and it can't be recovered.
- NFTs in the Crypto.com NFT app must first be withdrawn to your own Cronos wallet.
- Check the address bar says cronoslegends.com. We never DM first and never ask for your recovery phrase.
- Keep a little CRO for gas. A burn costs well under 1 CRO.
Everything the contracts do, in plain words.
These are the published terms of the burn program. The contracts are immutable, so these rules cannot change; if we ever launch different contracts, they'll be announced here with new addresses.
The claim route
Send one Legends Awaken I NFT (token IDs 1–500) or one Legends Awaken II NFT (token IDs 1–774) to that collection's claim contract with safeTransferFrom — or simply use the Burn button above. In the same transaction the claim contract sends the NFT to 0x000000000000000000000000000000000000dEaD, where it can never be recovered, and pays the sending wallet the current payout in $CLG from its own balance. If anything fails, the whole transaction reverts and you keep your NFT.
Trinari: Elderborn gets its own claim contract only after its mint has sold out; it will accept token IDs 1 to the final minted supply.

- Reserve
- Each claim contract holds its own $CLG reserve: the reserve is the contract's own $CLG balance. The team adds deposits from time to time; there is no schedule and no commitment to add more.

How much you receive
Payout = the lesser of 0.3 CLG and $35 / P for Legends Awaken I and II (for Trinari: Elderborn: the lesser of 0.13 CLG and $15 / P).
P is the price returned by the oracle: the higher of CLG's time-weighted average price since the newest oracle checkpoint at least 24 hours old, and since the newest checkpoint at least 10 minutes old. Both are computed through three VVS Finance pools — CLG/CRONUS V3 1% 0x3d7e…d818, CRONUS/WCRO 0x9e44…23db and WCRO/USDC 0xe61D…b6d6 — counting USDC as $1. Read quote() or payout() on a claim contract for the live value.
Because the higher average is used, the $CLG you receive is worth $35 at that price, but at the current market price it can be worth less — for example right after a sharp fall, or whenever CLG is below about $117, when the 0.3 CLG ceiling applies. The Burn button sets a minimum 2% below the amount you're shown, so a burn reverts instead of paying less.
Backing per outstanding NFT = the lesser of payout() and reserveBalance() / outstandingNfts(), readable from each claim contract.
What isn't there
- No per-wallet limit, no periodic window, no queue
- No allowlist, no signature, no team step: any holder can burn
- No pause function, no owner, no admin, no upgrade path — the claim contracts and the oracle cannot be changed
- No withdraw, rescue or sweep function: nobody, including the team, can take CLG out of a reserve; it leaves only as burn payouts
- No token approvals: your wallet sends one NFT per transaction
When burns stop by themselves
A burn reverts — and you keep your NFT — whenever it can't be priced safely or paid in full:
- The reserve holds less than one payout. First come, first served. Because the payout is above the collections' floor prices, deposits can be used up quickly.
- The oracle is warming up (its first day) or its checkpoints are more than about 6 hours old. A keeper records one every hour, and anyone can call
poke()on the oracle. - The CLG/CRONUS pool is too thin: it holds under 3,000,000 CRONUS now or at any hourly checkpoint in the last 24 hours, or its in-range liquidity is below 1022 now.
- Either VVS V2 pricing pair is too thin: under 300,000 WCRO in CRONUS/WCRO, or under 300,000 USDC in WCRO/USDC.
The project's liquidity is a dependencyAbout 99.9% of the CLG/CRONUS pool's liquidity is one position (#49804) owned by the project wallet 0xAF87…175D, and it is not locked. If the project withdrew most of it, burns would stop while it's out — and for up to a day after it returns, if an hourly checkpoint recorded it missing.
The project's own NFTs
The only project wallet is 0xAF87e4Df58D735ec2971d2D8Db663B02cA60175D. Before the reserves are funded, it sends its own Legends Awaken NFTs (29 of Legends Awaken I and 12 of Legends Awaken II) to the burn address without payment, so the team can never redeem from a reserve. The transaction links will be published here.
Good to know
- The Legends Awaken contracts are Crypto.com NFT deployments; their admin and minter role belongs to Crypto.com's deployer. Any token minted later gets an ID above 500 / 774 and can never be redeemed.
- The payout goes to the wallet the NFT came from.
- $CLG's price can move after you receive it. Selling goes through the CLG/CRONUS pool on VVS.
- Nothing here is a guarantee or financial advice.
Burn FAQ
What will my wallet show?
A transfer of your NFT to the claim contract (the safeTransferFrom method on the NFT contract). The $CLG arrives in the same transaction — you'll see it in the transaction details and in your balance.
Why is the payout sometimes worth less than $35?
To keep the reserve safe from price tricks, burns use the higher of CLG's 24-hour and recent average price, and never pay more than 0.3 CLG. After a sharp fall, or when CLG trades below about $117, the $CLG you receive is worth less than $35 at the current market price. You always see the exact amount before you confirm.
What if the reserve is empty?
The burn reverts and your NFT stays in your wallet. Reserves are refilled with deposits from time to time, first come, first served. There's no schedule and no commitment.
Can the team stop burns?
Nobody can pause, change or withdraw from the contracts. Burns do stop by themselves if price data can't be trusted — and because the project provides most of the CLG/CRONUS liquidity, withdrawing it would stop burns. The rules explain exactly when.
My NFTs are in the Crypto.com NFT app.
Withdraw them to your own Cronos wallet (for example Crypto.com Onchain or MetaMask) first. The burn must come from the wallet that holds the NFT.
Which wallets work?
Any Cronos-compatible browser wallet: Crypto.com Onchain, MetaMask, Rabby, Trust, OKX and others. On a phone, open cronoslegends.com/burn inside your wallet app's browser.
